Vintage Solido Diecast 166 Chaparral 2F Race Car 1/43 (like Corgi) Boxed The great Jim Hall 2F Chaparral, winner at Brands Hatch in BOAC days, all I remember clearly was seeing the wing appear over the horizon as it came up the hill into Druids, very clear memory, I know others had tried to use similar wings but this was the first I had seen. The model is good, it has the wing intact, so often broken. The gull wing doors are right. It has been in my collection for such a long time and is original and not messed about with. Solido never re released this model I think, probably as the wng is vulnerable and complicated to fit. My one has a rivet that has sprung (3 held the aerofoil in place) please see last pictures. I could stick it but the model is original and simply adding pressure holds it enough to keep the wing straight. Lights covers all intct, a good model. The red box is fair to good, all flaps are intact and one side is good, the other sufferred in storage as you can see in the photos. This is a scarce item to find, I have to downsize and am selling some of my collection.
