"Solido" 1/18 Porsche 935/78 Moby Dick - Martini Racing Team 1978 LeMans 24-Hour Race - 8th Position “One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL Porsche Racing Machines” The 935/78 was the third and final version of the 935 developed for the Le Mans 24-Hour Race. Porsche introduced water-cooled cylinder heads and equipped them with four valves per cylinder. The capacity was enlarged to 3.2 L, increasing its output to 559–634 kW. The 935/78 Moby Dick qualified third with lap times 15 seconds quicker than the previous race, it was the fastest car on the straight recording a top speed of 367 km/h. Although it finished in 8th position overall, the No. 43 Porsche 935/78 “Mobydick” has become a legend in the 24 Hours of Le Mans - Sporting the famous Martini Racing livery, the 935/78 piloted by Manfred Schurti and Rolf Stommelen is an icon of excessive power.
