Description

For sale we have a excellent large 10 1/2" beautiful antique early 1820's to 1840's Gaudy Leed's Style Pearlware Staffordshire polychrome painted plate. This large beauty is in a rich three colored polychrome coloration with no fading or color loss. The scene on this plate is folky and very busy with a crisp sunflower style decoration with adjoining leaves and stems on the border. The outer edges of the plate are filled with multicolored leaves and stems designs. This beauty is eye candy and brightens up any room or area in which it's displayed. This plate has a excellent delicate attractive scalloped outer edge with no issues. The finish is bright and glossy on the entire plate with no dullness or areas of wear. The back of the plate is not marked. The foot rim and outer scalloped edges have no issues. This dinner plate is large at approx. 10 1/2". The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, deep scratches or scuffs. There are no repairs, alterations or crazing seen. We only see a very few lite thin usage marks and a few very small spots of light age and usage discoloration. We also see some minor glaze flicks around the center design. These areas are seen under very close inspection. We mention this for complete accuracy and we pictured these areas. This beauty is a fresh to the market example in original untouched condition. What a excellent survivor and very nice early piece of early English Staffordshire hand painted Folk Art. This would make a great addition or upgrade to a early Antique Staffordshire Plate or early hand painted Pearlware China collection.
